Mel Gaynor

  • English major. Second semester at Fullerton College, planning to transfer to Cal State Fullerton to study English, possibly minor in Communications. The plan is to be a creative writer, either in novelizations or screenwriting. If that doesn't work out marrying rich is always an option.

Emily Coronado

  • Sociology Major and a sophomore at Fullerton College. In the near future, I plan to transfer to Cal State or a UC. My goals are to someday become a social worker for child protective services.

  • Kinesiology major. Goal is to transfer to a four year college and play basketball.

Welcome to our website for Mae C. Jamison! This website was created as a group project in our African-American History II class with Professor Smith. The goal was to choose amongst the many important figures of African-American history within a certain time frame. We made the decision to create this informative webpage about Mae C. Jamison, the first African American female Astronaut, and the first African American woman in space.
